Mrs Gregory and Mrs Wiggins
The cold weather made us begin to talk about animals in the winter. We have learned about different habitats and what animals need to survive throughout winter. We made our very own animal homes in the outdoor area.
Let It Snow!
We were all super excited to see the snow falling as we walked to school one morning! An excited buzz was present in our classroom as we peered through the window and talked about the snow. The snow continued to fall and we couldn’t wait any longer so we put on our outdoor clothing and went out to explore the snow. When we came back inside we talked about winter and collected lots of winter vocabulary to use in our own writing. We made our own class book for us all to enjoy by writing about our experiences.
Our Visit to St.Aidan's Church
We have been learning all about how the parish family celebrates. We have had visits from our year 6 altar server, Deacon Jim and the church singing group ‘New Life’ who have all shared how they celebrate as part of our parish. We also visited church to look at where the celebrations take place. We learned about the font, lectern and altar and how they are used during celebrations.
