My passion / personal experiences with PE
As a lifelong advocate for healthy, active living, I have always believed in the importance of movement as a cornerstone of a happy and balanced life. This passion extends beyond my professional role and into my home life, where I actively encourage my own children to embrace physical activity as part of their daily routine. I am deeply committed to inspiring the same enthusiasm in our pupils, promoting the many benefits of an active lifestyle. In particular, I recognise the powerful impact that physical activity can have on mental health and wellbeing, helping children to build confidence, resilience and a positive outlook on life.
Experiences in our school
Physical Education offers far more than just the development of physical skills; it provides a platform for nurturing essential life skills such as teamwork, communication, determination and respect. Through a broad and balanced curriculum, we aim to expose children to a wide variety of sports and activities, ensuring that every pupil can find something they enjoy and feel successful in. Alongside this, we offer a range of extra-curricular opportunities, including both inter- and intra-school competitions, allowing children to challenge themselves and experience the excitement of sport.
A key focus of our provision is promoting physical literacy and ensuring that PE is accessible and inclusive for all pupils, empowering every child to develop the confidence and competence to lead an active, healthy life.
